Bowman of Emsworth ...

We had owned a Hurley 22 for seventeen years and as our children became teenagers we found that we had out grown the little boat that had given us such confidence.  We really needed a larger Hurley 22, and we decided upon the Bowman 26 also designed by Ian Anderson.  A short search resulted in the purchase of Bowman of Emsworth  shown above at Earls Court in 1970 She was found lying ashore at Tarquin Marina Emsworth, looking somewhat forlorn and neglected due to the ill health of her owner

We have gradually restored her to her former beauty  and we now enjoy the luxury of standing headroom and an inboard diesel engine
